Mariinsky theatre

The project «New Holland: Cultural Urbanization» started in 2011 and was located on the island of Saint Petersburg which in the past used to be a place where military people lived. Today it is a modern park with art objects, fashionable pavilions, restaurants and street food corners. There is a unique playground assembled for children here: it repeats practically on the original scale the layout of the «Peter and Paul» frigate.

Anna Akhmatova Museum

The museum at the Fountain House was opened in 1989 on the centenary of the birth of the great poet Anna Akhmatova. Some of the most striking cultural artifacts of the Silver Age: rare books, documents, autographs, photographs and images of Anna Akhmatova and her contemporaries are collected here. Sevkabel Port

Arranged according to the plans of the artist himself, the estate in the village of Kuokkala (today - Repino) is only an hour drive from the city centre. Its name is inspired by the names of Roman gods, keepers of home comfort and hearth. Ilya Efimovich lived in this house for 30 years, working in workshops in which natural lighting wastes up with the help of many windows, light openings and glass roofs.

Matilda Schnurova’s restaurant with an emphasis on Russian cuisine moved from the Voznesensky project to the New Holland Island. The menu contains simple and delicious dishes from seasonal farm products: olivier with turkey pastrami, cauliflower cream soup, Russian Cabbage soup and homemade meatballs.

Birch has been in the top of the best restaurants in the city for the last few years, so you should book your table here beforehand. The menu contains both peculiar and simple positions with an emphasis on Asian-European cuisine.
