For some reason all Petersburgians, me in particular, immediately think “Fartuk” when it comes to a night out. Rubindhteyna Street is populated by all sorts of newly opened cafes, bars, and other interesting places. But the prize for the most interesting place goes to “Fartuk”. The place is older than others, and for the last couple of years it had a chance to create its own atmosphere, where it is always pleasant to meet with old friends and talk about everything and nothing over a glass of wine or cider; by the way, they’ve got pretty good wine here.

Gorokhovaya ul., 47
This famous garage bar occupies the whole court on Gorokhovaya street, there are a lot of tables inside, free pool table, and of course, a classic drink list which consists of wine, all kinds of cocktails, and big variety of beer. This place is perfect for those who would like to listen to rock music, play pool with friends, and gain some new acquaintances while going for outside for a smoke.

In my opinion, this bar is the best in the city. Reasons for its success are pretty simple: unbelievable list of cocktails which are always presented in a best way possible, joyful atmosphere, and great music!
The interior is simple but very attractive - you don’t want to leave the place until you’ve tried all the cocktails, and there are a loooot of them- especially the signature ones. So, there is always a risk to leave the bar (and you will be lucky to leave it on your foot and not crawling out) only in the morning.
Kakiye lyudi!

This place is the one I visit the most just because it gives you a feeling that you are visiting your friends every time you come here. We came here for the first time accidentally with my mates, drank cider, and tried their signature shawarma. We then decided that this place had to become “ours”. Definitely try shots of “limonka”, sing karaoke, and get a new tattoo during their monthly tattoo nights.
Mishka

If you feel a need to dance after “Kakiye lyudi” you don’t have to go far, since the neighboring bar Mishka is always full of fun, alcohol, albeit a little crowded. The music is varied so believe me you won’t be able to just stand in one place.
Tantsploshadka

The most dance-crazed place in the city; no matter where the majority of partiers are at the beginning of the night of clubbing, all roads lead them here.
A bar stand, a few meters in length which provides you with many unusual shot sets before you start dancing away to the tunes of fun house played by the best DJs of Saint Petersburg and beyond. There are 2 dance floors, just like there are 2 bars- one on the street, the other inside a building decorated with vintage furniture. Sick of dancing? Go to the street bar and play basketball, and take pictures of a lit-up placard that reads, “Youth forgives all” for Instagram.
Mosaique

Craving some techno!? In the already familiar Konnyushennaya Square make your way to Mosaique!
They say that darkness is a friend of youth and that describes Mosaique: several dance floors, cubes, and elevated platforms, which you can climb and show everyone who the real dance floor star is. There is a second floor with a second bar and armchairs, where you can sit and relax, while drinking one of the very tasty cocktails.
Stackenschneider

The third place in the same square- same techno, same tasty cocktails and shots, especially the Stackenschneider. You can always meet someone and chat in the street zone, it’s perhaps due to this place that I gained a huge number of friends and acquaintances with whom would be a shame not to drink a pint or two.
